still mostly use FF . . . i hate the FF buggy bookmarks loss and [now] back them up regularly . . . IE6 ain't nothiing special and i still use it occasionally
ActiveX is a good reason, but I don't really see firefox as such a huge security advantage. You hear plenty of vulnerability reports for mozilla software these days, even though it has such a tiny fraction of the market. From a security perspective, if I have to go out there with one or the other, I'm gonna pick firefox every time of course, but it doesn't give me any sense of being really safe. Given the planned lockdowns for vista, I wouldn't be surprised if IE with ActiveX disabled was safer (on a windows platform anyways). The only problem would be those silly sites that see the IE user agent and try to make you use ActiveX instead of their alternate implementations for the other engines.
With the extension view this page in IE, I never use IE unless I come across errors. For example at Fiel planet you cannot dl unless going through IE first (in my experience). Their download manager fixed that, but i come across issues frequently enough to keep IE around and load it through FireFox.
