Anyone else return to IE after using FF?

I found too many webpages not formatting correctly for my taste. There was a pretty bad memory leak too, and that kinda made me mad because IE doesnt do that.

I like tabs (kind of) but they arent as necessary or as cool as i thought they'd be.. the taskbar does the same thing for me.

I'd say the RSS is the biggest and best feature of Firefox. That is handy to the point that you wish every page you visited frequently used it.

The day that I decided FF was not for me was when I went to Ebay to sell something and noticed that it was still requiring i do all the HTML work by hand!!

So I tried it using IE and it was fully automated.
I install a bunch of plugins trying to get FF to do this properly, including an ActiveX plugin.. and no go.

I just want every page to load correctly and work to their full ability first time.. thats why I'm back to IE..

Am I the only one?

I sadly still use IE on my windows box just because I pretty much live through the address bar.. I love how I can just type www.yahoo.com, \\bj, or C: and browse pretty much anything.

I really wish Firefox would implement some sort of file management system.

No, I have found no site that i use that requires IE aside from Windows Update. The sites that do not render correctly must be made by those who do not code to standards.

I'm really happy with Opera 8.01,no need to go back to Firefox which gave me some problems or use IE apart from Windows Update.

Logging into work email, or any webpage associated with my school proves to be problematic with both FF and Opera, so I bounce back and forth between FF and IE at home, depending on the task.

I've been using Firefox ever since it was called Firebird and haven't looked back since. I even use Portable Firefox on at work via a usb drive.

I still use Firefox for everything except Windows Update and this one message board that isn't coded correctly so that Firefox can use it (only IE runs it for some reason). Its features are much better than IE's in my opinion

I love FF, but it can be REALLY darn buggy at times. Lost bookmarks, and now i can't save images! It acts as if it's saving them, but when I go back to look for the images, they aren't where I told FF to save them! I just updated to 1.0.6, but it was doing this when I still had 1.0.5

Hell no.

I honestly cannot stand IE anymore.

Every PC i use at work gets FF installed, since i simply abhor having to open IE.

Life is beautiful with FF :)

FF was love at first sight for me. Only pages I've found which don't work with it are trendmicro.com's "Housecall" online virus checker and windows update. A bunch of people were saying espn.com doesn't render properly, but it does for me. I like that it's not tied into the OS, so if it crashes you don't lose your taskbar and potentially some of the system tray's icons when (if) it reloads. Not sure how I ever lived without tabbed browsing, and it's far sleeker since it doesn't have stuff I don't want/use taking up so much space in the top part by default - more screen real estate for web surfing. Last, it doesn't have armies of pimply teenagers trying to 'h4xx0r' it and, once in a while, succeeding - unlike IE.

Edit: How could I forget about extensions such as Adblock & Forecastfox? Oh, and it doesn't suffer from IE's window size bug.

I dont hate FF either.

I just want ONE browser though and I found myself bouncing back to IE to get certain pages to work correctly.. namely my Ebay example.

Its not so much that the ebay example was enough to lose all the stuff I love about FF (tabs, RSS), but I wondered if I never went back to IE (which I wouldnt do, because I'm a one browser man as I said).. what else i would miss and wouldnt even known it??

Just like if I had not accidentally popped on another machine and tried Ebay with IE.. I'd never known I was missing the added functionality and would be coding my auctions, by hand in HTML..

I get annoyed with updating FF so much. I like it but I just find my self clicking to start IE more often than FF. Call me crazy.

I love firefox, its the only browser on my system. I've never found a page that didn't work on it that I couldn't live without. But given the choice between firefox and konq. Firefox is really the only choice.

I wanted to go back to IE because it loads real faster than FF but IE crashes too many times on my lappy so I had to use FF. No choice for me :(

I used Firefox for about a week before switching back to Internet Explorer. Firefox was really nice, but it crashed just as much as Internet Explorer did and loaded five times slower.

Even the ones that try to install malware? (Sorry, couldn't resist :p)

I have very rarely found a site that didn't work properly in firefox (although the Apple store didn't for a while) but the "View this page in IE" extension is always there on windows. Besides how much better I like the feature set, I also love how I can take it to every platform I use (linux, mac os, bsd on occasion) although I do use konqueror on linux frequently because it seems to be so much more responsive. And yes, opera fans, I know that opera will go all these places too...

I was like that. I found FF and said wow, tabbed browsing rocks. But for some odd reason I was drawn back to IE just because. IE7 with tabbed browsing is going to rock.

I used FF for about a month.

It had some good features that I liked *cough*tabbed browsing*cough*
I went back to IE because it seemd the only added feature was tabbed browsing, and it was not worth all of the reconfiguring and figuring out how everything works. (i for one hated the download manager thingie in it)

IE7 looks really promising, I've already tried the (leaked) beta. It caused a conflict with Trillian's MSN service, causing me to reformat (something I was going to do this weekend anyways). The browser itself seems to be quite a step up from a userend point of view, I don't know how webmasters will react to it.

I'm going to put it back on once the trillian devlopers fix up whatever is causing the crash whenever the MSN plugin is loaded with IE7.

I just wish MS would allow you to uninstall beta software
