They tailgate more often than others. That's all I notice (I hate tailgaters...PERIOD :| )

They tend to be inconsiderate drivers, young hipsters that swerve in and out of traffic.

Actually, that describes me no matter what vehicle I drive. Especially in my 1997 Aerostar cargo van which has no front end so I know exactly HOW CLOSE I can get on someone's ass.

OUTTA MY WAY!!!!! 😀 😀

They go around acting like thier VW Jetta costs more then 100k, and is better than a BMW or Mercedes. Heck only stuck up (not all) BMW owners come close to Jetta owner's stuck-upness.

They really think just cause they drive a Jetta they're better than everyone else. I mean WTF its just a Jetta, a ticking time bomb on wheels.

Anyone else agree? Disagree? What about you Jetta owners?

Edit- Also I know a lot of you say you see women driving Jetta's mostly, but over here I see mostly 25 - 35 y/o men drive them.

So fucking true. Not only are you male Jetta owners driving a girl car, but to try and look so stuck up and to talk about it like it's a 10 second car is just rediculous. I'm with the OP on this and I'm glad he brought it up.

Whats with you morons saying its a girl car....

There are VW beetles, and VW Golfs, and you pick on the jetta as a girl car?

Show me another 46 mpg turbo diesel for 20ish k and I will consider tht instead 😛

They never really seemed like that at all to me. They either didn't say anything one way or the other regarding their car, or their said it sucked.

Tell them to take a look at their door jam and see that their car is made in Mexico.

Nothing gets me like these GLI\Vr6\R32 owners who think their cars are the fastest sportiest things ever. Sorry, Volkswagen is a cheap car, the people's car. I wish they'd just kick them out of Europe already, so they'd stop sullying the genre of European automobiles.

Umm... My wife's Jetta is made in Germany.

Usually, the product line comes from both Germany AND Mexico.

If you have a Variant (wagon), GTi (R32 included), GLi or Cabrio your car is probably German. If it's a Phaeton it is German. If you have a regular Jetta or Golf, like a GL, it's going to be made in Mexico.

Actually, the OP is Canadian. This makes the likelihood that the cars are imported from Germany rather than Mexico even moreso.

That said; I don't think it really matters either way.

Given the difference between German or Mexican, I'd actually take the Mexican made VW. In the 2002 German made Jettas, for example, they used plastic clips on the power window cables (instead of metal) and the headlights hazed over much quicker (different plastic composite perhaps.) The drive train is still a German block/tranny with either a Mexican/German head. Typically, the problems aren't drive-train related. They're usually the stupid little quality control issues that piss people off.

Everyone i know with a VW Jetta thinks its made of solid platinum or something. The OP is right imho.

Literally every single one.

We don't need a F350 to make us feel like we have a penis. "Look at my big truck boy!! Don't it just make your ding-ding get hard? Git-r-dun!!!!!!!!!!" What better way to get chicks than with a 'chicks' car.
