Anyone else not really like Transformers?

Just got it on HD-DVD the other day

It had its good moments, but it just felt way too "scripted" (is that the word i'm looking for?) I know the whole premise is obviously fake, but the movie make it feel fake, didn't instill the realism that movies like Spiderman and others bring...

Am I alone here?

I thought it was okay. I had pretty low expectations going in and I probably won't see it ever again but I didn't dislike it.

Fergot to mention, I also didn't like the fight scenes because all the robots looked alike

It was ok. I saw it once and thought it was mediocre. Then I dragged to it again and wanted to fall asleep.

I enjoyed it, thought it was better than the last two Spiderman movies. I'll take Megan Fox + robots over Emo Spidey.

The only significant problem with Transformers is they fucked up all the fight scenes.

Look guys. You spent eleventeen quintillion dollars on making these robots look awesome when they're standing around doing nothing. Then it's time for a fight scene and you let the programmer with constant low-grade seizures decide how it should look? Fail.

come on guys that movie has the best visual graphics EVER to date. the fuckin machines look real, its honestly hard to tell in most of the movie that its almost all CGI. the storyline isnt even that bad. a couple cheese parts but the movie still kicks ass. the audio is also AWESOME. i love crankin it up and turning off the lights, its a real experience. Its definitely a kid's movie, but hell take it for what its worth. if this was out when i was 8 years old it would be my favorite movie of all time.

The movie from 1986 already did that for me.

Thought it was entertaining, didn't think it was great

Bourne Ultimatum has been my hands-down favorite movie of the year, I don't see that changing.

you aren't alone. Many of the "good" movies have meh for scripting. Usually, there is enough special effects to counteract that a little.

cg team did good work and made the whole concept viable.
director/script didn't live up to the promise/potential of the awesome robots though.
the allspark explanation and effects were lame
