I don't get black friday either.
Do I have a TV? Check.
Desktop computer? Check.
Laptop? Check.
Camera? Check.

So I might pay attention to deals once every 5 years. Besides, if something breaks and I need a replacement in May, I'm not waiting 6 months just for black friday deals.

Same here.

Can someone explain the appeal of black friday to me? You wait in line for hours on end in the freezing cold for a "deal" that gets you $20 off some terrible product. Instead you could have spent that same amount of time, working and easily made that $20 and more. I would much rather just shop online, at least then I can watch pron at the same time.

It's the same people lining up at the gas station because the gas is going up 5cent per litre after midnight... for your standard 50l tank, that 's a whopping 2.50 maximum... I just laugh when I see it.

the only deals I've ever really seen that are significant discounts from what you could get online with 10 seconds of searching tend to be the 1-per-store type of baits that get sold out seconds after the doors open.

I had a nice relaxing day -- slept till eleven, spent 2 hours reading in bed, and now I'm just writing up my rent check so I can go drop it in the mail when I run out to grab lunch with the bf.

canada does not 'get it'.

but that depends on what 'it' is

'it' is milk in jugs

Ouch haha.

I wish our milk came in jugs. I broke a bowl with food in it this morning juggling a bag out that was stored in the back. Although nothing would have happened if it wasn't morning, I wasn't half-asleep, had my glasses on and paid more attention...

I get it, I just choose to not join. Did my shopping online, independant of the BS sales going on today.
I used to like getting goodies for dirt cheap right after Christmas but that hasnt happened the past few years.

I spent a good amount today ($400, college student, PT job)

Notables:
Left4Dead (PC) - $19.99 @ Amazon
WD 640GB external deal @ Staples
MSI Wind 6 cell $270 after Live CB @ eBay
