The Who are one of the greatest bands in rock history.

After the Beatles and the Stones they are probably the third greatest rock band in history. They've sold 100 million albums, which is very impressive when you consider that they haven't released a 'hit' record since the early 80s.

I can understand that you may not like them, but saying that they don't deserve to be in the half time show is crazy.

I was gonna boldify the same thing. I saw them a few months after Entwistle died, and it was the best concert I've ever been to.

I'll be honest, Pete's windmills were looking a little weak tonight, but it was still a good show. I wonder if Roger Daltrey still performs that scream every time they play Won't Get Fool Again or if it's dubbed in.

But was that The Who, or was it just the telecast? Remember also, there was an announcer introducing them during the intro to Pinball Wizard...seemed to throw Roger off a bit. He was late starting another song, too....but I wondered if it was just the audio and video not being in sync.

I thought they were awesome!
Much better than most old man half-time shows.
The Rolling Stones were absolutely horrible a few years ago.

I thought Daltrey did an awesome job on vocals!

what is it with the NFL and getting half time acts whose last hit was before any of the players and half of the coaching staff were even born?

i guess they're trying to bring up the ratings for the geriatric demographic.

The Who absolutely SUCKED. They're about 30 years too late for a super bowel halftime show. The audience was pretty much silent through the whole thing, probably all thinking "Who are these old fucks?"

Thank Janet Jackson for ruining halftime shows.

I thought it was awesome. Maybe the kiddies on here were hoping to see the Jonas Brothers or something.

just watched this on youtube.

i'm in my 20's and thought it was an excellent performance, for what it was (cramming a medley of their most recognizable songs into ten minutes). pete townshend looks like he's about 80 but still kicks ass.

i don't know what these morons were expecting, either. if not the jonas brothers, probably jay-z or some other 'rap' bullshit.

Was it just me, or did Roger Daltrey look exactly like Austin Powers?

Daltry looked like a cross-dressing grandma.

Otherwise, I'd say it was excellent! I saw them several times in concert, all in the previous century, of course.
