I just sold my G5 powermac and the white keyboard went with so. So I figured what the hell might as well go to the apple store and pick on of the up.

Man it's awesome! I love the laptop short travel feel and this looks like it will stay semi-clean for a while.

Pics also include my beautiful Zalman HD135 case... took me some time to get the VFD working under mac os x

Seems very bad ergonomically. I don't think I would like it.

The wired version doesn't look particularly exciting, but I could see the wireless for use with my htpc.. It's smaller and more stylish than the logitech wireless kb I'm using now.

but the logitech has volume control and ff/rw/play/pause media controls.. logitech still wins for functionality.

edit: oh ho, the apple KB has some of those too, but not dedicated buttons..

I don't know... I haven't used it for any length of time because it's more money than I'm willing to spend on a keyboard. I bought a Logitech instead.

I love it. Have one at work. Almost bought one for my PC at home, but the demo at BB was all stiff and borked...couldn't tell if the keys were supposed to be that stiff (this was before the brand new one at work arrived).

the apple and command keys are annoying as always, though.

the keys, especially space bar get dirty fast. mine's showing oddly advanced age in only 2 months of at-work neffing.

Do they make something like this with a touchpad on it? I think I might do well with that plus a big flat screen and desktop, so I can sit wherever and use the computer but avoid the disadvantages of a laptop

edit: indeed they do. sweet

This might remove any need I have for a laptop as my main computer anymore.. since I hate having to sit upright at a desk to use a desktop. Now if I got a giant monitor I could be set

edit: I think I might like ones like this since you can put them back on a desk and still use them normally:

Yes, and I love it. I'm running an 8 core since feb 08 and it's been the best investment I've ever made computer wise.

I hate these things with a passion, the keys are like 1 mm above the base and everytime I use them, I feel like Ill break it and I use them everyday for hours at a time.
