I like a good rain if it's not freezing or too windy. As long as my shoes/pants don't get wet, I'm good. I also like a heavy rain if I have my waterproof gear.

This summer has been too hot and humid. I'll take almost anything over that.

Me. The more terrible the T-Storm, the better. I'm a Skywarn spotter so I actually get really excited when its springtime, thought the actual twisters that show up in America's Wang are usually quite small compared to the slab cleaners that roll through the plains and midwest.

However a nice 3 day long tropical system that slowly soaks everything is also acceptable.

depends what i'm doing. if i plan on sitting inside being a lazy POS, i prefer it to be cloudy / rainy out. it makes being inside cozier.

Yep, I do. It was far too sunny here yesterday; it's nice and rainy today!

A bunch of shut-ins on a nerd forum like it when it's crappy outside. What a shock.

Rain isn't crappy. I'll happily go outside when it's wet. Not downpours, but a heavy mist/drizzle like I mentioned in my previous reply is perfect.

Being outside when it's damp or there is a light rain is one of the most pleasant things I've ever done. There's something incredibly peaceful about the rain and I love how it dampens out a lot of extraneous noise.

I don't like rainy days. Walking through it, driving in it, and getting wet sucks.

I'd rather be outside in 40°C weather than have it be pouring.

With the exception of Hawai'i rain, when I was there the rain was more of a myst and it was amazing.

It was cool until I had to start my drive to school and was stuck in 2 hour traffic waiting for the 5 car accidents to clear because people dont know how to drive on the 405.

Do you know how we can tell you live in LA?

No. Make that hell no. Make that hell no, absolutely not, with a side fries. I understand that rain is essential, yadda, yadda but it should rain at night when I'm sleeping and nothing but clear crisp days.

Let me explain. I lived in Kentucky for several years. One winter we went 58 days straight with no sun... at all, freakin, fruckin, gray, gloomy hell with rain, clouds, depression, and unpleasant skin rotting humidity and lung infesting mold (aspergillosis, look it up).

I could happily live my life in one of those deserts where it rains once a century whether it needs it or not.

Rain sucks plain and simple. Girls are the only ones I see that like rainy days. Here in LA everyone crashes even with the slightest rain and it sucks when you have to drive in it. Sunny clear days are the bets. Don't know why anyone would ever prefer a rainy day over a perfect sunny day.
