Anyone else hope Vick is released soon?

Now that he's pleaded guilty to the state dogfighting charge, it looks like the plea bargain will go through. Besides the 2 years of his life that he's served, he's also lost $100+ million, and the respect of the entire nation. I think he's lost enough and hope he gets another shot at the NFL.

I hope his next athletic endeavor is trying to outrun a pack of rabid dogs. He doesn't deserve another shot at the NFL, he deserves to spend the next 10 years doing community service cleaning cages at an animal shelter in exchange for his early release and reduced sentences.

How about instead he spends the rest of his life as a trash collector and the NFL goes on no different from before. He had his chance and proved himself to be a despicable excuse for a human being who doesn't deserve millions of dollars or idolization by legions of fans.

absolutely not.

honestly, he should rot in jail another few years and have got a lifetime ban from the NFL.

AFAIK he's serving time for federal crimes until June or so, and there's no parole in federal prison. He can get a few days/weeks off for good behavior, but when you're sentenced to two years in federal prison, you pretty much spend two years behind bars. So you can hope, but your hope is an unlikely one.

I don't care whether he gets out or not and really don't care if he plays in the NFL. I'm torn on the NFL part. One, I don't want to see him on TV. But that leads to #2... ESPN play of the week where Vick's linemen, who we later find out are all dog lovers, let a bum rush of defenders through who end up breaking both of his legs. Maybe Big Albert can do a belly flop at the end for good measure.

Why another shot @ the NFL? He sucked as a QB and as a person, but I always did enjoy watching Tampa crush him x2 each year.

As long as he gets put in a psych ward, then sure. By all means.

Anyone who gets entertainment from watching family pets get torn apart by fighting dogs shouldn't be anywhere else IMO.

I'm tired of all the illegal bullshit in the NFL and getting second chances. There are plenty of people out there that would die for a chance at the NFL, I for one. Quit letting these morons back on the team, like Pacman.

Its not their fault that they are treated like gods.

I say that anyone who chooses to be in the spotlight like that should be made an example. Give them the maximum sentence, no plea bargain bullshit.

I hope Michael Vick dies penniless, in pain, preferably screaming, falling from a plane, on fire, onto a spike in the middle of a lake of acid.

If the team I root for picked him up, I'd stop rooting for them, stop buying their merchandise, stop going to the games, stop watching them on TV etc.

That scum is not needed in the NFL.
