Assuming he gets out and starts playing right away in the NFL, he'll be at least 29. More realistically he'd be 30 or 31 before being able to play, and considering he was only ever a legitimate threat if he could scramble and run (thus opening up the pass, of which even then he was mediocre at best), I don't think he'll be fresh enough to play at the levels he used to.

At this point, I don't think anyone (other than immediate family/friends) should care when he gets out, because he's not going to do anything significant in the NFL as a player.

He and his family are a bunch of thug fucktards. The less of them on the street, the better a place we live in.
Fuck him.

Now that he's pleaded guilty to the state dogfighting charge, it looks like the plea bargain will go through. Besides the 2 years of his life that he's served, he's also lost $100+ million, and the respect of the entire nation. I think he's lost enough and hope he gets another shot at the NFL.

i hope that never happens. little impressionable kids look up to athletes, and he's one guy who doesnt deserve to be idolized in any way

He's useless to society and deserves to be treated as garbage instead of a living being. It and its family needs to be wiped off the face of the earth. Just dump it into the ocean as it doesn't even deserve a proper burial.

These people know the laws of man and these things will continue to break them again and again because they know they will be re-accepted back to society after "serving XXXX days, weeks or years."

He was a mediocre quarterback, you know that right? Why would he play for the Raiders when they have a good young QB?

Ohh I get it, you were being funny. I thought you were just being a dumbass, my bad.

Better yet, I hope he gets released and steals your dog for a fight to the death. But surely you can't possible be a dog owner and feel Vick should get released so never mind.

He had a life the vast majority of us could only dream of and pissed it all away by more or less torturing/killing dogs. I don't feel sorry for him. It's not like like some kind of bad luck/unfortunate events took everything of him, he did this to himself. I hope he never lives a privileged life again.

And you must be some kind of retard for thinking he should get released before his time is up. Even if he serves to the end of his term it will no doubt be a shorter sentence then anyone else in the history of getting convicted for this crime just because of who he is. I'm sure you think he should be allowed back into the NFL too, but luckily I sincerely doubt this will happen. He should have to be registered like a sex offender, and be lucky to find work at a Dairy Queen.

AFAIK he's serving time for federal crimes until June or so, and there's no parole in federal prison. He can get a few days/weeks off for good behavior, but when you're sentenced to two years in federal prison, you pretty much spend two years behind bars. So you can hope, but your hope is an unlikely one.

Correct. With his plea deal for pleading GUILITY for illegal dog fighting on state charges, he's being moved from Federal Prison to a Federal Half-way house which he will not be released early from.

I'm sure someone in there is willing to be on the receiving end of his snap.

if he is all good in the eyes of the law, then he should be all good in the eyes of the NFL and if a team wants to give him a shot so be it

He was a gimmick in Atlanta, just as he will be anywhere else in the NFL. He never did anything for that team other than boost merchandising sales.

It sucks, b/c he truly is an athlete, but he's terrible for the NFL. His assholery now confirms that he should be paid professional athlete's salary.

His whole family is fucked-up. Just look at his little brother...
