Hmmm I dont have my tonsils anymore so I don't remember ever having these. What happens if you just pop them out? Is there a gaping hole left behind only to be filled over and over again?

My dentist said they were tonsil debris. Little balls that smell like shit. ug, I get one occasionally but I brush my tonsils everyday to avoid it.

I had my tonsils out very young.

I guess I do get a mild form of this once and awhile - I thought it was just some food or something that got lodged in the back roof of my mouth - they aren't hard really but feel strange. I can usually just use a q-tip to dislodge them. Does not happen often.

I can touch the back of my throat with my tongue, so I usually dislodge them with my tongue then eat them. They don't taste very good.

If that fails, I use one of those floss sticks with a sharp point on the end, grab a flashlight, and start mining. Then I eat them.

I get them once a month or so.

I've never had them until a couple months ago. I've managed to prod a couple out, but there's a massive one that I can't seem to get out. I think I might have to have it surgically removed, but I think I'm going to go jab at it some more after work to see if I can get it out.

do you chew on them? i try to spit it out after some mining into my bird cage and trick my pet birds into eating them. what do they taste like?

i've found that morning+night salt gurgling or using listerine along with brushing well helps a lot in reducing the formation of the stones. only see them maybe once or twice a year now, as opposed to a dozen before.

for those who haven't smelled them yet, you should give it a try, at least once. it's a very curiously bad smell, especially the core. you can find the core by just grinding it with your fingers, they're very soft.

I just threw up in my mouth.

I had my Tonsils taken out when I was 23 for chronic reoccurring Tonsillitis. Best decision i've EVER made.

BTW, i'm not kidding, you guys are making me nauseous.

When I still had my tonsils as a kid, I got those things all the time. I could feel them with my tongue, and use it to work them out of my tonsils and spit them out.

They really did stink. You can imagine the impression they must have left on me, since I am now 43 and had my tonsils removed in 5th grade.
