It is a movie. Should have won Movie of the Year Acadamy Award IMO. By a landslide. It is basically a movie about addiction. The story revolves around these people who have big dreams, but each one is shattered by their addiction to drugs. Only movie that I have seen that has changed my life. That is how powerful it was. Though I didn't, and don't, do drugs, I started seeing all these addictions in my life. Whether it be to some sort of substance (as in coke), or a certain lifestyle. And so I set out to unchain myself from these addictions.

It is rated NC-17 for a reason though. Some parts are pretty graphic, and it has 2 near pornographic scenes. But they are not gratuitous (sp?). They are put into the movie with very good purpose.

Best friend was. Spent pretty much whole summer getting her off of it. It was pretty bad too. Headaches if she didn't drink it and such. That caffiene is some nasty stuff.

hm, well i dunno why you went off coke from that movie.. would seem more like a cautionary tale for hard drugs like heroin:p anyways, cokes ok as long as you don't abuse it, i drink a diet everyonce in a while. drank a lot more a while back but i don't think i ever got addicted, think i just couldn't get a caffine buzz from it. coffees far better for caffine anyhow:)

I saw the movie as more about addiction than drugs, if you look a bit deeper at it. For instance, the old woman was addicted to routine. The scenes of her drinking coffee over and over again, sitting down to watch the tv, etc. I saw, after watching that movie, that I was addicted to coke. I would buy it every day. That pissed me off, and I stopped then and there. The movie opened my eyes in a way.

Pepsi is a better product. Pepsi vs. Coke it comes down to opinion but Diet-Pepsi vs. Diet-Coke it doesn't; Diet-Coke just plain old sucks and thats all there is to it.

Is 6 cans a day considered an addiction?

Am I addicted if in one of my rants with my subordinates, one gets up, goes to the fridge, grabs a Coke and then hands it to me and I forget what I was chewing them out for???

I never said it was the coffee that was driving her crazy. I am saying the movie was about more than drugs. Why did she go get speed in the first place? Her addiction to food.

i don't think she was addicted to food, she just wanted to lose weight to fit into that old old dress. she only became fixated on food once she started depriving herself of it and went on speed.
