Anyone else here a 'Two-Finger' Typer?

Ive been typing this way for over 10 years now.... Using Both index fingers for almost all the keys, and my right thumb for the space bar... Im up to almost 85 wpm with pretty good accuracy, not bad I wouldnt think...

Haha, people love watching me type because of how fast my hands move to find all the keys with 2 fingers...

Anyone else do this?

damn. i cant even get close to that while typing the correct way. you suck.


my dad still types that way.. its pretty funny to watch him type. Hes not real good at it though.. really really slow. He has to search for keys.

i'm always looking at the monitor.. i almost never look down at the keyboard unless for some reason i get stuck or confused or have a brain fart or something like that.

i used to be good enough where i could look around the room while i typed, and not even look at the monitor... however using my tiny laptop keyboard that i'm on now-- i usually make to many mistakes to get away with that.

but a three.

this girl in college used both index fingers and right thumb.

about 80wpm with accuracy.


but imagine her using all nine.

Yup, but I'm more like 6 words per min...

Most 2 finger typers look at the keyboard when they type, which really slows things down because you gotta reread everything, unless you dont mind typos.

testing testing.. typing this messsage with only 2 fingers... wow its really hard, i have to look at the keyboard, and i keep finding myself trying to cheat and use my other fingers.

I don't use proper technique, but I use almost all my fingers, and can type without looking at the keyboard for the most part. And I'm a pretty damn fast typer.

On the monitor of course...

Actually, im gonna ammend that... Im sometimes looking at the piece of paper im transcribing, but never the keyboard...

I use the proper ten finger technique. My accuracy is pretty good too, as it my speed, my guess would be around 50 ppm.


Ten finger technique really pays off after a while, so much better than hunt and peckers.

My record is 140 wpm using whatever feels comfortable. I ususally use all of my fingers except right thumb and pinkies.

I often type with two fingers, not sure if I look at the keyboard or not, so I am typing this to find out. I do look at the keyboard sometimes, but for the most part I read what I type, but I'm so dumb I still end up with mistakes.
