Well... various and sundry groups have gone into the alt.sci.seti newsgroup abyss and recruited - but moreso by putting Team advertising info in their .sigs than anything else. I know that SkzDaLimit was the biggest one out there recruiting or semi-recruiting for a long time, and probably a large number of their folks were regulars on alt.sci.seti and sci.astro.seti.
The thing is about the newsgroup is the fact that the SETI@Home program honchos post there alot (eg., Eric Kopela, Matt Lebofsky, etc.) I know that some Ars folks post there, but not sure how many TA people I've seen there (although I haven't checked them out in awhile).
