Anyone else having this problem with KDE?

Running Debian/unstable, have been running it with XFree 4.1.0 and KDE 2.2.2 for a while now.

Yesterday I got sorta tored of waiting for official KDE 3 packages, so I went and installed the unofficial debs, working fine alongside KDE2.

However, when I lock the screen, I can't unlock it, my password doesn't work, and yes, I've made sure caps isn't pressed or anything 😉

Anyways, Im not entirely sure this is doe to KDE 3 specifically, as I've encountered the exact same problem on FreeBSD 4.4 running KDE 2.2.2 a while back.

So, anyone ever ran into this before?

I have not run into it myself - but I mostly use Gnome so this isn't surprising. But could it be switching to another user? Like a default user? Or root?
