Anyone else have their Amex due date change?

We've been an Amex charge card customer for a few years now, and as such we have everything planned out around a static due date. It gets paid in full every month as its a charge card, and nothing has changed on our end recently.

Today we logged into the website and see the due date has moved up by over a week from its usual date (its 9 days or so earlier than usual).

Has anyone else noticed this with their Amex accounts? Seems like they were almost trying to throw us off to pay it late, just seems odd.

Call and gripe. I just did with Citibank after they jacked up my interest rate to 20%. I only carry a balance when I'm spreading the cost of an emergency over more than one month (did it once for a car repair, once because I needed to buy a plane ticket to see a sick relative) but I don't want to get charged through the nose if I do need to use it in an emergency. After 15 minutes of complaining they dropped my rate to 13.24%. Still not as good as my credit union's card (which is sitting at 8% right now) but my citibank card gets a ton of cash back each year and it's my oldest line of credit so I need to keep it open and active.

I love my AMEX clear with 0% on all purchases for 12 months...but I picked it up to do a balance transfer.

Fucking AMEX denied my balance transfer due to their inquiry for the card I believe (recent inquiries)...my credit score is over 700.
