Anyone else have the 722 DVR/tuner from Dish Network?

I recently switched from Comcast to Dish Netowrk and got the VIP 722 HD tuner. Question is, why does this thing get so freaking hot to the touch? It obviously has a couple of obnoxiously loud fans that kick on to try to keep it cool, but that seems to just make it loud AND still really hot.

What in the world would cause it to get so hot? My HD DVR cable boxes have never gotten more than warm during heavy use, but this thing seems to be warm when its off, and immediately get hot when its turned on.

Is there any fix for this?

I'm going to make the assumption that you have good airflow around the unit. One of the fixes that seems to work with a fair number of the Dish DVR boxes is to give them a bit more clearance underneath. See if you can get some felt pads underneath the unit to raise it slightly higher and see if that helps.
