I have all 3, but in my defense, the 360 was a XMas gift the year it came out (I have a cousin with more money than brains, and he bought 3 of them for $800 apiece when they launched, one of him, one as a gift for me, and one as a gift for some nephews), so I didn't pay for that one. I bought the Wii for my kids' XMas last year, and we have consistently had at least one title that we can all play and enjoy together as a family, even my wife, who pretty much hates video games. I bought the PS3 for myself, I had scored and sold a PC that I paid maybe $150 building between parts laying around and stuff I bought out of pocket, for $500, and on my way home from dropping it off for the guy, I stopped and picked up a 60GB PS3 at Circuit City with the money. It was the week they had the free controller + 1 free game deal, and I got the 5 free BD movies by mail. Yes, I could have waited, I figured they were going to have a $400 model by Xmas, but I also knew the hardware based PS1/PS2 emulation was a big deal to me, since I never really owned a PS2, and there is this huge backlog of PS2 titles that I wanted to play, especially survival horror stuff like Siren, Haunting Ground, and the various Resident Evil titles.
So yes, I have all 3, much to my wife's disgust. Between the PS3 and 360, I've bought maybe 5 games, there's not a lot that interests me in console gaming, I don't care for sports games, driving games, first person shooters with a gamepad, or pimping my virtual ride for achievement points. But I do get into games like Kameo, Earth Defense Force, Burnout (for the crashing mostly 🙂 ), Rachet and Clank, and all the survival horror titles I missed when they were released originally on the PS2 and XBox 1. I'm a PC gamer at heart, and that's where I spend a good 70% of my gaming time, which isn't much to begin with, but I do like being able to play a game on a console that interests me without having to worry if I have the right platform hardware for it or not. I'm sure this will probably be the only generation of consoles that I will have this option, seeing as it's the only generation where I've owned all the systems.
