Ohh....sorry, I thought you said transvestite.

EDIT: But while I've already posted....I just want to say that I'm jealous of your sweet ride. Let us know how things go when you get the tranny back in. ;)

No, I would have to say I don't have a transmission in my living room...

Interesting place to store your transmission.

Many years ago I lived in a very bad part of town and I parked my Honda in my livingroom every night.

It was just rebuilt and therefore it's pretty clean, I'm not worried about it getting the carpet dirty :)

Not yet, the parents would kill me, and the dorm is just not the sort of place to work on a car. It's weird for me to see a transmission that doesn't have a pair of half-shafts with CV joints coming out of it though. I've only ever worked on transaxle cars (one FWD, two RWD). Must be a lot easier to work on without having the differential in there. U-joints last longer than CV's too.

Oh, and one more thing; I love your car.

I'm afraid of those cars :) The differential goes in the back, and the transmission goes in the front :p. I've also never owned a vehicle that wasn't a Front engine, rear drive car.

In response to everyone else:

Haven't tried it as a couch.

The carpet isn't stained, it's just tan.

how do you make a coffee table out of a crank shaft?

And yes, if I had a garage, it would be in the garage.
