Anyone else have a faulty level/compass in the 5s?

I saw an article today about what may be a hardware issue with the M7 chip. I tested my phone with a bubble level and a compass. It was 4 or 5 degrees off level and about 11 degrees off North.

Wonder if Apple will offer replacements when they finally acknowledge it.

If it's a hardware issue and not a software or firmware issue, then there's definitely a case to be made for that sort of thing. At least in my IANAL opinion.

@OP

Those are significant errors. I suggest you take it back for a replacement. I hate it when companies don't do proper QC. Seems like apple is failing lately.

Mine's not as significant as yours, but I'm off by 1 degree in landscape mode and 2 degrees in portrait mode. I don't have another compass to test it with, but I guess I could try my iPhone 5, which apparently doesn't have the problem according to the Ars article.
