We had prime rib on Christmas evening, as well. It was pretty good. But my favorites are always the potato dishes, green bean casseroles, and other miscellaneous casseroles. YUM.

I really wanted some green bean casserole this year. It's not too late! :)

the rib roast was a bit more done than i'd have liked but the yorkshire was good. piled up beef, green beans, roasted potatoes, and yorkshire pudding, and then poured beef juice all over it.

You know what REALLY bothers me? I walked by a few hookah bars and didn't even THINK to stop and partake. I don't smoke but I don't have an issue with hookah every now and then.

Oh well, another time. :)

That's a damn good idea, though, seriously.

There is a lot of tobacco free hookah, which is what I've tried.

WTF doesn't everyone have turkey for xmas dinner?

Brined, trussed, roasted turkey. It was fantastic.

Didn't have a Christmas turkey, but I brined the Thanksgiving turkey this year. Best, juiciest, tastiest turkey I've ever had. I'm usually not a white turkey meat fan, but that's because it's usually dry as a bone. I used a mix of water and apple cider with some various spices thrown in the brine, and I will be doing that from now on.
