Anyone else have a cat that grunts?

About 1/2 the time, my damn cat grunts instead of meows.

We adopted a cat that was in a household with a dog and I think she thought she was a dog because she barks, or she used to. Now that she's around other cats she has stopped doing that but it was pretty amusing to hear her do it when she did.

Joey has the nickname "Cheney Cat" from some of the things he lets loose now and then.

He a big guy with a big mouth, the other cat is almost as big and he speaks different cat talk.

my cat made all sorts of weird noises. Some of them were grunts.
He also did a little trilling sound when he was excited, that was much different from his purring.
