Anyone else hate it when the collar of your undershirt gets fubared?

I hate this. I wear my t-shirts one or two times, and the collar gets all screwed up(the collar is no longer uniform). I get the damn things dry cleaned, but it does not seem to help.

Try ironing with Niagra, works for me. It also depends on the specific type of T-shirt. Are these undershirts or casual T-shirts? If they are undershirts do not let them hang on the hanger, fold them up and store them on a shelf or drawer. Leaving them on a hanger will allow gravity to stretch out the collar and cause it to curve in on itself.

They are white undershirts.Thanks, I will try that. I guess I could always buy new ones every week also.

You may have to or just by undershirts that use thicker cotton material.

What do you mean, undershirt? (I don't know what an undershirt is). Is this something you wear under a shirt and tie? Or a t shirt you're wearing (with nothing over the top)? Maybe you're buying too small a size and it's being stretched out of shape by width of neck? Or maybe you're buying too large, and so the collar is too loose around neck? If it is an undershirt, why does it matter so much, no one will see it, right?

I will dry-clean a quality shirt or trouser, but I think dry-cleaning a white t-shirt is kind of ridiculous. You could buy a new t-shirt for the cost of drycleaning. What brand are you buying? Could the quality be so poor, that these things just won't hold their shape? Maybe buy a better quality item? Or buy a cheaper item, and just throw them out as they stretch out of shape?

I wear a white undershirt underneath my shirt. Yes, you can see it( I do not button my shirts up to the collar.) Hmmmmmmm........ I have lost 45 lbs in the last 2 months, I think you just hit the nail on the head. I need smaller shirts.

Or, buy a product which contains a small percentage of synthetic fibres, which will retain its shape better than pure cotton.

Thanx. Due to diet + exercise. I am getting divorced soon, so I decided that I would better myself instead of wallowing in self pity. Actually, In the past 7 months, I have managed to quit smoking, and start a diet and exercise regimen. :cookie: for me!

We still live together, in seperate rooms. She was mad at first, because I never did that stuff before. Oh well.
