Got a baby and a promotion. But everything else sucked. :hmm:

But in 2011 the baby won't suck the life out of us so it should be better. ;)

which classes?

Got a C in BIO 101 and that was totally slacking on discipline and education. And I worked myself into a stupor every night. Then checked myself the next morning before turning assignments in. Very demotivating.
Got a low B in my BUS 111 class cuz the teach just half-assed everything he did. Should have had an A.

Not entirely thrilled with my job, but work is work and it pays the bills.

Yes, be grateful.
I didnt like the Hynix job but it paid well enough relative to the area.
I liked the Tektronix job but it paid very poor for where I was living.
Funny how that happens. Maybe I could get a job having my testicles smashed 8 hours a day. Probably pay a million bucks a year.
:hmm:

The year from hell. Hoping for a better 2011 but I'm being evicted and a bunch of other bad stuff going on, so short of a miracle it's even more downhill.

Got a great job after being out of work for over a year and went on my first real trip since I've been an adult so it's been pretty good for me. Love life is full of ups and downs so that's no big deal.

This year went by fast because I've done so much travelling doing things I enjoy. Sure work was hard, but the financial compensation made up for it and allowed me the freedom to do the above. Money isn't everything, but I'm glad I had enough this year to make this year an awesome year. Finally paid off my car and another one of my loans. No longer do I really have to work two full time jobs to keep me above waters.

Only downside is come next income tax season I'll be raped if I don't put sufficient money into my RRSPs, then I'll be back to square one financially.

In terms of relationship, its always been an emotional rollercoaster ride, but we are making significant progress. Two years, going onto three, long distance relationship is neither easy nor cheap.

I work not for my company, but for the bank (mortgage) and the airline that I fly most with (Air Canada), so it seems.

My year went by fast cuz I was grinding away at school. Including both summer semesters.
When I was done on the 16th I immediately felt bored. Beat New Vegas in 3 days, and I wouldnt have even bought the game except for boredom and Steams 40% off sale.

Did it feel like that to you when you got rid of your 2nd job?

Worst year I have ever had. Too many things to list even the cliff notes would be too long to write down. If 2011 isn't better, My new year wish is that I will just stop fucking breathing...

Bad:
Work sucks - I'm a banker and my company is so inwardly focused I can't actually do the job they hired me to.
Relationship trouble - more drama than any other year of my life
I lost my grandfather in November
Financial - I had my best year ever, but got a lousy bonus because another business line in my reporting group blew.

Good:
Grad school is going well.

Looking forward to:
A new job in 2011.
Sorting out the family issues

I didn't have a great 2010 (some of it was pretty terrible), but I'm grateful for the health and security of my family and myself. 2011 is promising, with higher income and travel opportunities :)

It started out pretty bad. Lost job of 17.5 years when company shut down. Found another job pretty quickly (2 weeks) but didn't work out (too damn much travel). Found new job with little travel and more money but they are taking up too much time right now. Expects to slow down soon so I hope things will be much better in 2011.

I hear you. Hope that breathing thing continues for 2011 and beyond for you.

Incredibly bad year.

My dad died, a good family friend's father died (very cool guy), my mom's former boss's husband died (cool guy, damn nice people) our 17 year old cat had to be put down, our 15 year old cat died and now the three month old kitten we took in might have to be put down as well because he's suddenly not able to move his back legs. Potential brain tumor or spinal cord issue according to the vet, we'll know more Monday.

2010 fucking sucked, hard and long.

it was a pretty good year, mostly because I moved.

post-move, I'm paying significantly less in rent for a bigger apartment, I'm closer to my family, and I'm closer to NYC, which exponentially increases my dating pool (and as a result, I've been going on significantly more dates/hookups than before I moved... all the gays in my old area were either college kids or old men)

Quite possibly the worst year of my life (though I'm only 23). Guess I probably could've avoided most of the shit so hoping to get things together this year.

Not a bad year at all, really. I have a feeling 2011 will be even better, though.

Yup. Especially with reposts. Lemme go find the other 3 or 4 threads with this same subject and I'll link to my old answers.

Actually, fuck it. too lazy to search, just like OP.

Lets see,
1. Didnt lose enough weight. This fact was driven home by a dude in our forum who lost 65 pounds in 4 months. I'm not even close to 65 pounds overweight. Wish I could get his results.

Me? I've managed to put 20+ of that back on :( Will take it off again eventually.
