.vbs files and .shs files are usually viruses too...
(learnt the latter from bad experience -- it was a txt file with a hidden extension..)

not sure about other extensions...
 
I got it too. Thought it was strange that MS would be e-mailing updates. I've never registered any MS Windows software so there'd be no way they would even have my e-mail address.

Wonder how we got this?

Pay attention to the headers... MS would never send you an executable like this. Never. If anything it would be a link to their site.... I would not execute it, it is harmful, one way or the other...
