We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. I'd go if WSU was playing. Pasadena is the pits. But there are a lot of theme parks in the LA/Anaheim area. You could also head down to San Diego, or take the boat to Catalina Island, or drive out to Joshua Tree National Monument. Depends on what you like to do. Tour the Missions!
Too much $$$ for me, but with the #1 and #4 teams going at it (in classic best o' Pac-10 vs. best o' Big 10 grudge match fashion), it should make for quite a game. 🙂
Don't miss the Norton Simon Museum (a huge and awesome collection of works of art spanning numerous eras--bonus: completely FREE!) or the restaurant/bar scene just a little further east on Colorado and along Lake. If the Norton Simon's garden isn't large or serene enough and you're aching for a flora fix, Descanso Gardens may be for you (just a few miles drive from the parade route and $6 for general admission/$4 students).
If you're car-less or would like to experience what mass-transit is like in SoCal, the Gold Line light rail line now runs from Pasadena through to downtown connecting you to light-rail and heavy-rail lines beyond. You could hop a Gold Line train downtown and tour Olvera Street (seems like all the tourists stop by there when in L.A.), then take the Red Line out to Hollywood or Universal Studios. Long Beach (the Queen Mary, Aquarium of the Pacific, harbor lights and hopping Pine Street) could prove a good night-cap riding the Blue Line south.
