It would be a great challenge to the 1D X if Canon don't cripple it. However, by the look of things the sensor isn't much better than the 70D or T2i.

I'm getting slaughtered on one of the Canon forums for implying that the 70D isn't much of an upgrade over the T2i as far as image quality and high-iso noise goes. I'm not nuts, am I? I played around with a 70D and the sample shots I took look EXACTLY like the T2i, and the noise performance looks identical to me.

I think the 70D has a newer sensor than the T2i, but the sensor is mainly to help with autofocus? The biggest advantage is the autofocus for video -- it's supposed to be pretty fast. And it has the extra LCD on top, more controls for advanced users.

Interdasting... more leaks and updates on that Canon Rumors site. New G7 and SX60. Wow, 65x optical zoom.

No news on any Rebel updates or 70D. Kind of tempted to skip the Rebels and go straight to a 70D. Thought about jumping to a Sony A7, but the full-frame lenses are effing crazy expensive.

You can use adapters and old glass. In fact you can even use Canon EF lenses via adapters costing about $85. You gain image stabilization and (slow) autofocus with most Canon EF/EF-s lenses, along with electronic aperture control:

Early adoption risk is also bugging me. I'm now leaning towards the 6D, but it isn't perfect though. Something about video issues. Its low light ability is what's really pulling me towards it though.

On the other hand, the A7 is new tech and pretty well reviewed. Going to sleep on this for the next while.

Haha you have to be careful on some of those forums.

I wouldn't look at the A7 unless you are willing to invest money in new Sony glass and live with limited accessories.
