We recently have determined that different computers have logged onto your Online Banking account, and multiple password failures were present before the logons. We now need you to re-confirm your account information to us.

If this is not completed by September 14, 2007, we will be forced to suspend your account indefinitely, as it may have been used for fraudulent purposes. We thank you for your cooperation in this manner.

I got that two days ago. Forward the email to abuse@bankofamerica.com out of the goodness of your heart.

My wife just got a very similar email but it was for paypal. Instead of linking to paypal.com, it linked to pay4mypal.com.

I've gotten a paypal scam email before and I don't even have a paypal account. Never received a BoA scam email in 7 years of having an account there.

I've been getting a whole lot of BofA phishing emails lately. I wish they would stop slipping through gmails filter.

It is Bank of America anyway. Giving bank accounts to Illegals with no SS# 😕
I moved my money after hearing of this. Luckily I moved soon afterward so did'nt worry much.
You try to get any Bank account as an american citizen without your SS#........... They laugh at you and say: Sorry, we cannot help you...... Bye Bye!

If you want an account with the terms the illegals will get then you are welcome to it. Personally I will keep mine as is.

Yeah, only a few hundred times since a few years ago. But until this thread I had never realized it was a hoax!

What are these "terms" for Illegals only?

No idea on checking/savings accounts, but I know for credit cards they offer that crappy 99/500 card. (Basically semi-secured, you plonk down $99 for a $500 credit line) and the terms aren't very favorable.

Not that they should complain, of course.
