No matter how early or late I wake up, no matter how active or lazy I am, between 1-3 PM like clockwork, I get really really tired and can't concentrate on anything.

I ususally take a nap if time allows. But if I stay awake thru this ordeal, I perk right back up at like 3 pm... Why doesn this happen to me?! WASNT THE 7 HOURS OF SLEEP I GOT LAST NIGHT ENOUGH?!

Ouch! WAKE UP!

Yeah, especially if I have a big lunch. I saw something on TLC or the Discovery channel about sleep and IIRC the chemical(s) in your brain that tell your body to sleep peaks two times in a 24-hour period. Once at night when you sleep and again in the early afternoon.

I drink so much water through out the day It's not even funny.

For lunch, sometimes my protien shake gets me thru to dinner, but usually my lunch isnt too big. It happens no matter what I eat.

Drinking too much water can screw up the electrolyte balances in your body. I drink quite a bit of water myself and usually allow myself some sort of snack that is high in sodium during the day. Usually pretzels or Cheez-Itz. I love Cheez-Itz.

I take naps when I'm waiting for my computer to do something. I think it's the heat.

I also take naps in between loading for BF2.

naps are your problem, FORCE YOURSELF to stay awake

at least in my case, if I'm tired in the afternoon (usually hits me about 5pm when I get home, since I work 6:30-3:30 usually), if I lay down I'll sleep 'til bout 7:30pm, and then I can't fall asleep that night and it starts a bad cycle that's hard to get out of. Don't nap, just get 9 hours of rest.

Unless I get 9 hours of sleep a night, I'm at least SOMEWHAT noticeably tired the next day. Even 8 hours isn't quite enough to go the whole day w/o feeling like a nap at some point...sucks.
