Pretty much every year around this time I don't sleep worth a spit. My tylenol PM/melatonin combo works to get me to sleep, but then I am up 3 hours later. I even got Ambien CR because I thought that would do the trick...same thing.

rudeguy needs a decent nights sleep dang it.

I've been sleeping too much lately. Slept about 10 or 11 hours last night, and about the same the night before, and took a nap yesterday.

Could try to get more sunlight as lack of such can cause some people to be like that.

Get out in the sun when you can and keep lots of lights on inside. Light up the room you're in like an operating room. Winter depression sucks. Exercise.

yeah...I get out of work at six and the sun is long gone by then.

My doc wants to see me again soon...maybe its time to tweak my meds again.

Or maybe he's a little concerned because I called him and asked for "those pills that make you drive in your sleep".

I just stay up so late that I pass out as soon as I collapse in the bed. The time gets earlier each time.

I get insomnia a lot, I started taking St. John's Wort and I have no idea if it is the placebo effect or what but gradually as it started to work (takes a few weeks) it got better and better. Now I'm to the point where I pass out once my head hits the pillow after a long days work. On the flip side though I can't stay up past about 1 AM on the weekends and if I do stay up even that late there better be a place to sleep nearby.

Same here, I'm in Michigan too. I've been trying to run more to make me more tired to sleep more easily but it hasn't been working.
