Anyone else get bad tearing in UT2k4??

Even when I run it at 1600x1200 with vsync enabled, min desired fps set, etc etc everything cranked TRYING to lower framerate, it hovers around 65-85 but I get tearing....is this an internet issue or do I have a setting wrong?

disabling vsync is what gives me the tearing because my FPS is going above my refresh

Did you try forcing VSync in the drivers? Or are you doing it in the game?

both...still get the tearing....I am running at 1600x1200 with 2xAA 16xAF to slow it down, appears to help the tearing

So your saying your monitor doesn't support 85 hz at 1600x1200?

No my monitor does fine...my frames are going past 85 I think, not too sure

I have experienced tearing in games when I have overclocked my video card too high and it got too hot. Have you tried turning off the overclock on your card?
