Anyone else get a lot of belly button lint?

I seem to get a fair bit. Doesn't really seem to match the color of the shirt I happen to be wearing either

Me too. Do you have a hairy bellybutton? My theory is that it gathers up all the fluff it can find for the winter and stuffs it in the bellybutton. I don't have a theory about the non-matching colour of fluff, but I guess that might depend on how far the hair has to go to find the fluff and also after a hard day's work the fluff might become discoloured.

PS: not a fattie

Whenever I wear tucked in shirts. It doesn't enter my button, though. Just a little tumbleweed of hair floating around it on the daily. I'm not a fatty, but pretty hairy.

I mean there is some hair but not to a gorilla level or anything

Almost daily. Belly hair rubs on my tshirts im assuming, sucking it into the abyss.

Ah I hadn't thought about the hair rubbing tshirts to hoard the fibers

Id say I generate about 3/4 tablespoon of belly button lint everyday. Its hard to measure by volume bc its so fluffy and voluminous. I notice it when I come home from work and change, my belly button is just full. Sometimes I like to extract the lint and leave it in funny places so my wife notices it. She is amazed at how much I can produce; she has never seen belly button lint production like mine. Its kind of a proud manly moment for me. 😛 I do notice I make the most lint with cotton shirts and produce even more when Im moving all day and presumably my belly hair rubs more against my shirt. Synthetic fabrics make less lint for me. When I use bright colored towels, the lint has a tinge of color from the towel. Otherwise its mostly the color of the shirt I was wearing.

My dad is also a heavy lint producer as we have the same stomach body hair pattern that swirls around the belly button and I hypothesize channels the hair into there. I get lint in my butt crack like this too; again a hairy place with cheek hair all pointing towards the same direction of the crack.

I probably clean out like almost nothing. It's usually just a speck, but I also shower every day and I'm not a slob.

I get some too. In fact it's one of those areas I always kinda forget about when I'm in the shower but when I do remember it seems to go on forever. 😱 I envy people who have an outie, so much easier to clean. 😛

For a moment there I thought a sheep was writing this post!

I don't think I get any, though I wash it like every other shower. But even if I didn't I'm not sure I would.

Since we're on this topic, I've noticed since I started traveling my t-shirts are slowly disappearing!! I think it has to do with my gorilla hair eating away all the fabric. Now I do wonder where all the lint goes though. Anyone wanna help me figure it out? :kissingheart:
