Does anyone else find it ironic that people spend time discussing who the best rapper is; even though rap is the worst genre of music?

another sign the end is near.......public opinion that lil wayne is a great rapper....ughhh......sigh....lyrically mediocre. I find his voice and cadence to be very annoying at times.

irrelevant stat since miley cyrus and justin beiber are probably multi platinum. people are idiots and will buy whatever is sold to them the radio play doesn't define skill. Historically Em is like 80x platinum worldwide maybe more. Eminem killed kanye, wayne and drake on forever.

Think about what your saying? Record sales mean nothing? what the fuck are you smoking? Off course it has to do with talent, thats why he sold so many records. He went platinum a week after he released the carter 3, nobody else has reached platinum in a week.

I'm not hating on him, ive actually been a fan of his since he was like 16 running with juvenile and the CMR crew. Baller Blockin movie is hilarious and I thoroughly enjoy many of his songs. He just isn't the rap messiah you youngin's think, he is pop now.

LOL, I actually sort of agree with him... rap is not the worst genre though but it is one of the lower genres IMO.

Now if you can rap AND sing, it elevates you.

Usher for example (who doesn't really rap I guess) is right on top of my favorite types of music.
