Anyone else feel like time is going by too fast?

Maybe there's something wrong with me but I've been feeling more & more like time is going by faster & faster. It's already Friday - what happened to Mon-Tue-Wed-Thurs ? I am a full time employee and my job isn't exactly all that "exciting" to give creed to the 'time flies when you're having fun' motto. I can just sit around doing nothing and the day will still feel like it passes quickly. Even dentist appointments which I used to dread as a child and felt like never ended breezes by.

well I hope that ain't true 'cause I still got a long ways to go (at least I hope I do!)

i just think its cause your days get busier and busier which makes time fly.

It's something that happens as you get older. Your brain tends to go into "autopilot", so you're not aware of the current moment most of the time. This causes time to seem like it goes faster as you age.

true, plus as your growing up thier are more "fun" things to look forward to, as you get older to many responsiblities get in the way, instead of going out and partying with friends tonight, i get the enjoyment of going home and making sure a 15 yr old does not have too much fun.

I really enjoy where i am at in my life, but it was different when i was younger

I agree, time has been flying by lately.

Seems to be flying for me as well. Both by the hour and by the day. I feel like we just got to August but September starts next Friday. I don't even know where the hell August went. 😕

I think it might be because the older you get, the smaller a percentage each day, year, etc. is of your whole life.

For example, when you are 10 years old, a year is 10% of your life. When you are 20, a year is only 5%. When you are 50, a year is only 2%.

Wait till you have kids...time starts racing by, and once you hit 40...it's like the calendar is on fast-forward...

interesting, changing 'Mode' from Normal to Optimistic makes me go from dying at 74 (yikes, I'm not even going to outlive my grandparents, who are both older than 75 now and still going!?) to 100
