Anyone else feel like they're slowing down in the tech world?

Yes. Current PC is Athlon II X4 from 2010 with ATI Radeon 5450. Current laptop is 2nd gen i5. The only game I play is Call of Duty 1, from 2001.

Not so much that I'm slowing, but the world left me behind. I feel behind without a smartphone. No data plan. Work and home are separated by 5 minutes, so I get by without a mobile internet connection. Still have a desktop-centric approach to computing. My 8" tablet is wi-fi only, w/ GPS chip. Comes in handy when traveling, casual gaming, or when I'm in bed or bathroom and want some entertainment.

I'm running a 4th generation Core i3 w/ on-chip graphics. Next year might be time for a pc upgrade, but I want to keep Win7.

No.
I was never on the cutting edge. Couldnt afford it and would not waste the money even if I had it.
Never gave a crap about cell phones or smartphones.
Never wanted a giant overpowered home theater.
Virtual Reality didnt impress me in the 90's and is even less interesting today.
I'd rather be happy with a nice book or a big-titted whore than another overpriced video game that just lets me down. No Mans Sky was probably the worst thing to happen in gaming. Now I'm suspicious and judgemental of every title before its even released.

I used to enjoy checking out the latest technology, but as far as tech goes, I have basically stopped with smartphones. I've never owned a tablet, have no desire to buy a smartwatch or other wearable, and the smart home devices seem expensive and largely useless. It feels like the new tech over the past few years adds more complication than convenience.

I went through it a few years back. When you are young your parents marvel at how well you kids learn these new gadgets. 30 years later you are looking at your kids marveling at how well they are learning these new gadgets.
It's the same for music. I like my genre and my decades, and can't go for any of that newfangled crap kids listen to these days. Whatever happened to the Butthole Surfers, man!

I'd say it's less interesting, but there are still plenty of younger people who are way too enthusiastic about computer stuff.

We're just older and more varied in our interests. And found women who would let us see them naked.

Left behind? No although my areas of focus have changed. I don't do much with consumer things like desktops or SOHO NAS devices. They just aren't as fun after playing with 5 PB DDN storage arrays and 40+ core servers and all the neat things you can do easily with them that are harder\more annoying to do at home. I might start playing with wifi a bit more as the Ubiquiti stuff looks interesting and I really don't deal with anything in a similar category at work.

Me too! Especially as an MCE user. Why do I have to upgrade? Oh right, they haven't scored $ from me in a while.

I like tech stuff just not enough to buy it. I have a g4 phone that's two years old that will hopefully last another year at least. Have an 8 year old car without Bluetooth or any thing techie in it. I do have an ecobee thermostat in my house. Turning the temp up or down from anywhere is awesome. Just got old. Not a bad thing as I spent my twenties wasting every dollar I earned on the latest and greatest.

I've definitely noticed this myself. I still upgrade my phone somewhat regularly, and have a PS4 pro, but laptop is a refurbished HP EliteBook and I won't be upgrading any time soon.
