14, although I don't feel very depressed anymore. I use to always be terrible.

1. I scored a 2.
2. 2 years ago, I probably would have scored a 25.
3. I've been in psychotherapy for depression and anxiety. If you don't believe these are real illnesses, get an education. Even today, I still cannot function at 90% of what I used to be capable of. When I am anxious, I have recurring nightmares EVERY F***ING NIGHT.
4. I've tried Celexa. It helps.
5. Exercise helps. But if you're depressed, you don't want to exercise (or do ANYTHING).

Darn, now I'm starting to feel depressed...

I got a 6.

The test is sort of downhill because what if I've been improving in some things during the last 7 days? You cannot express that.

EngineNr9 has a good point. Antidepressants are now marketed to everybody. The answer choices in the questionnaire have three 'negative' ones and one 'positive' one. Most people feel there is room for improvement in their lives, so maybe some healthy people are fooled into thinking they are depressed. I remember reading this one psych study where they had people fill out a random survey and the program was supposed to deduce a description of their attitudes and personality from the answers. 95% of the participants said the program was accurate in its description. The thing was that their answers made no difference - the same description was shown to everybody. It was just written in vague terms (much like the Celexa survey) so that anyone harboring a little insecurity or problem here or there would respond to it affirmatively.

Same here, but I already knew I was pretty depressed.

Edit: Long term depression kept my score low. I have underweight, and it doesn't get any lower than the weight I am on now, so eventhough I have even less appetite in the past weeks again I don't lose weight or anything.

I got a 3, but only because I've gained a couple pounds in the last couple weeks neffing here.

12, although I don't feel as depressed as I used to now that I'm working for a living.
Back when I was an unemployed bum, I had terrible insomnia and slept very light. But when I took the test based on how I used to feel before, I scored a 9. Go figure!

Haha, 100% honest answers and got 23, not bad huh? What? You mean lower is better? Oh fsck

Yeah, I guess I'm depressed, but propably not so much as the test would like me to believe.
