Nope. We have our electricity as low as it's been all year this month; 314kWh for 32 days, $36.

This is with our small swamp cooler and a 20" box fan running 24/7. Keeps the bedroom and living room @ 73F while the rest of the house is 85+. We have a regular sized fridge in the kitchen, a mini fridge in the bedroom and a chest freezer in the garage. We also have an electric clothes dryer. Hot water and stove is gas. All of our lights are CFLs. About 800sq ft.

Pretty happy overall.

Ours is up, just got the bill yesterday.

Usual in winter is $30. Hell, most summers it's only...maybe $40 for all the fans running. But with the high heat and humidity here (Detroit area) for awhile and the big ol' pregnant wife, we've had the air on non stop.

It jumped to around 70 last month I think, and around 120 this month. Have it set somewhere around mid-70s at least.

Bill this month was $190, same time last year was $140 with the same activity. Of course the extreme heat has been the main difference. Gotta love that Miami Heat!

Yes, I expect my electric bill to be real big this time. Thanks to the heat wave the northeast is having.

I've managed to keep my electric bill below $100 keeping a 3029sqft house at 76 degrees all the time.

The A/C must not kick in much where you're at. I'm probably looking at $250 on the low end with 78 degrees setting with about same sqft. Typical Texas summer.

Nope, it'll be $185. We do the same payment everymonth deal. When catch month comes it's pretty damn close.

I'm in Tennessee, averaging in the 90s. It's been hotter this summer than previously...haven't really paid attention to how much the A/C is running.

I did that for awhile and it worked out pretty good. It wouldn't this year though because I looked at the chart of power I used over the past 3 years and this month is higher than any month in the past.

Mine hasn't been horrible. This month I'm looking at around 680 KWH ($95.00) for having the air set at 76 for my 1,100 square foot home in Michigan.

Ours was around 33% higher than last year coming in at $199 for an 1800 sq ft house. Stupid excessively hot Michigan weather

Heating is our big cost, we don't even have AC. Over the winter we hit a high of around $260 in one month for electricity. My wife and our roommate are the ones who like it so warm and use most of the electricity. I'm always following behind them turning space heaters, lights and electronics off.

Our roommate moved out and I've been cracking down. Last month was only $80. :)

Same here, I have my thermostat in the mid-upper 70s and my utility bill for my single bedroom apartment this month was over $100, ack.

I don't really have much to compare to considering I just got my house in December. So I'll take what I can get.

My last AC bill was for June and that was almost 300. We just got our bill for the past month, and it was 180. Wife and kids were on vacation for most of the month and I raised the temp up to around 80. Hopefully augusts bill will be somewhere in-between.
