i generally try not to hype myself up for a movie too much, no matter how good it is, because i sometimes tend to OVERhype it in my own head and am then disappointed. T3 was definitely cool, though. It was also borderline comedy as we were laughing a LOT this time around.

After the show taped, both of them came down from burbank to visit us at the Marine base at Camp Pendleton, CA for what the movie director called "the first sneak preview of this movie in the world." I didn't get a chance to see the show, but was wondering if leno hinted at where he was headed to after the taping.

Yes, he said he and Ahh-nold would be heading down to some military base. On July the 2nd I believe he's heading to Iraq and Kuwait to screen it for the guys overseas (he being Arnold)

That's one of the things that's kinda making me iffy about T3...just that lack of a real dark edge. In the T2 special features DVD James talks about one scene where Arnold tries to smile....ended up looking like a horse....pretty hilarious.....he said in test audiences they were laughing on the floor so he cut it out of the movie b/c he was trying to go for a dark moody movie. But either way it's Arnold and it's the Terminator, cant lose :)

That's EXACTLY what i talked about in my other post when i did a mini review of the movie. T3 didn't have the dark edge that T2 had, just like spiderman didn't have the dark edge that batman (courtesy of tim burton), or BLADE had. Some people liked to laugh, others thought it was too cheesy.

Yea I read your review in the other post. I guess I'll just have to watch it and find out. It's too bad I have an exam Wednesday night or else I'd go see it Wednesday :|

ME. I don't care what the critics or anyone else says. I think Schwartzenegger is awesome and I loved Terminator 2 so you better believe that I'm going to be in the theaters watching the 3rd installation. It probably won't be as good as the 2nd but I don't care. :)

I was until I found out that James Cameron bowed out to direct this one. It was his vision and without him, what the hell good will it be? It's just another cash cow for the movie industry. I predict that it will open strong and then fizzle out in a hurry.

Well this is ASAP.

The movie was great. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Funny because when I went to see Matrix 2 I was all hyped up thinking that the movie would be great but it wasn't. I entered the theater to see T3 thinking man this movie better be OK and I left very pleased.

The movie seems very different from the first two, it isn't dark and edgey. But that isn't a bad thing. I was amazed how many times I found myself laughing at the one-liners in the movie. Rest assured, Arnold is still the man. The stunts where Great and the action was intense. The story fit very well and did a great job of explaining itself. The ending was a bit anti-climatic but other than that the pacing was perfect.

Definately worth seeing and later buying on DVD.

it DID lose some of the dark edge, huh? That's what i thought too. Arnold was hilarious though. I loved that first scene with the glasses. It was like a parody of T2.
