I'm no vegan but when I eat meat with bones in it, it reminds me that I'm eating another living thing.

I start to have visions of the animal screaming and hollering when i bite down on the bone.

Does anyone else experiences this?

I'm a little creeped out by finding weird glands in my food with bones. What comes immediately to mind is some weird thing that's found in chicken thighs. Some time I might look it up to see what it is, but I'm pretty sure I don't like it.

I know the steak gurus around here consider it blasphemy but I try not to eat the animals while they're still alive.

Steak gurus are not that bad. It's perfectly okay for the animal to be dead, just not cooked.

I'm fine with bones and for many cuts of meat serving on the bone is the only acceptable way. You can buy boneless chicken thighs and wings, boneless ribeye, even boneless leg of lamb, but all of those are truly blasphemy. If you're so squeamish about eating meat that you can't enjoy gnawing on a buffalo wing or a T-bone it's time to face reality and go vegetarian.

The bones are the best part, except for the eyes and the face, those are the best parts. The screaming just reminds me that I am taking in the life force of a lesser creature and becoming more and more powerful.

edit: dear fbi, Im totally trolling and joking around. I dunno about that other guy tho...

Does not really bother me but I also like to make sure the meat I'm eating is very dead. Unlike in China where it's normal to eat something that's still mostly alive like fish that's only had the tail end deep fried so they can watch it's mouth move while they eat it.

I'm not really huge on meat in general though, I feel the more processed it is, the better I like it, even though it's not that good for me... like I hate dealing with raw chicken, just grosses me out and I can never get it cooked consistently. But I like prebought frozen chicken strips or equivalant. Basically the further from real it is the better I like it lol.

I must must have been a rather strange kid. Long before I even seen a single clip of a cannibal movie, well before watching the entire damn film, I had thoughts about eating alive the better looking female classmates as well as High School teenage girls. Mind you, nothing remotely even sexual, well before starting Puberty.

I think this started when I was 9 after sneaking peaks in my older uncle's strange art book that mom brought him that had exotic drawing of bare breasts and a picture of a bare naked woman hanging by her wrists being swallowed alive, screaming by a giant snake.

Did I start Puberty a wee bit early or what? Or was I in the proper range?

If you give it an anesthetic you can probably just cut chunks right off of it and wait till it heals to get more later. Almost like taking chunks out of a live plant and wait for it to grow back, except it's a cow. Free range murder-free meat. :p

The problem I sometimes run into is I will either undercook it or something, I don't know, but I will bite into a piece that will taste super nasty, like some kind of strong "rotten" taste. Does not matter how I cook it, I can just never figure out what causes that, then it tends to turn me off chicken that I cook myself for a while. I don't know what I'm doing wrong to experience that. I actually used to get that same taste in McNuggets now and then, which I can't eat anymore because I had it happen too many times it just turned me off of them. Not that it's a bad thing.

But yeah I just suck at cooking, it's just something I never manged to get good at no matter how I try.

I found a recipe for doing a whole chicken in it. I will try it tomorrow.

Buy and cook rotten meat and it will have a strong rotten taste... this is why you should always check the Use By Date.

A little maybe and maybe I'm a coarse person for not being more bothered by it. But meat on bones at least in chicken generally retains more moisture and so tastes better. Or a better way to put it is it's not dry tasting as some boneless servings of chicken.

If I'm wrong about the moist/dry comments I'm sure I'll be severely corrected and pummeled for it.

I'm confused how some of you lived long enough to reach majority. Real food grows in the dirt. Animals have bones. I shudder at the idea that some people seem perfectly happy to eat bad fast food the rest of their life.

Why in Hell would most people even bother to correct and pummeled you for this in the first place? Come to think it, the vast majority of folks will agree with you about this. Including me with steaks at least.
