Nice looking car for 20k
Why do people do that?
Base price is $20,490. That's with no options. I guess if you're happy having a car with the base 4 cylinder engine and no option packages, you can probably get it out the door for that price.
Well yea, 20k MSRP. After a couple months, you should be able to get the I4 basic for 20k OTD. Some people don't need all that stupid option. They charge like $85 for floor mat ffs.
Even the cheapest "convenience" package on the Altima sedan is $1,000. Tech package seems to vary from $3-6k depending on the model. At least the coupe comes with standard ABS. Evan that's another $310 on the sedan.
I think the worst was when the 350Z came out. I think the MSRP was something like $26k for the base model, with the track edition somewhere north of $35k. People would say things like "wow such a hot car for only $25k!" while discussing the track edition Z.
And for years, whenever there's a thread that pops up asking "which new car should I get for under 20k?" there always seems to be someone that says to get a WRX, even though the base price has started over $24k for as long as I can remember. It seemed that people thought they could get a Imprezza WRX for under $20k when it was only the 2.5 that could be had for that cheap.
