Some things you just don't do frugally! :p

And in return he lets you have sex with him? Not a bad deal. :)

Actually, did you have to put forth the request to take HIM out for this day, since generally the guy treats the girl to dinner.

Hmmm...We're adults here and since we live together rather than just dating things are different. We actually discussed the matter and asked each other what gifts to get.I want flowers, candy, weight lifting gloves, belt.he wants computer stuff.why buy things that the other person doesn't really want?

Doesn't asking for flowers diminish the gift though? Granted, there's an expectation for flowers on Valentine's, and while it's not necessarily a surprise if he were to get you flowers, I personally am not a fan of making requests for something that ideally would be voluntary.

'course, I personally hate receiving money for my birthday from anybody that I'm close to.

I gotta save save save for the wedding, but hey, that's not stopping me from spending $30 on dine-out dinners once every couple of weeks... so I figure I have no excuse not to do something for vday.

We're in our 1st year of living together.I don't expect him to try to read my mind as to the kinds of gifts that I like or consider romantic.Letting somebody know your tastes doesn't take away from their ability to surprise or be creative in their own way.

Roses from Costco and dinner out is it this year. No diamond jewelry or anything this year.

Screw it, I'm tired of just adding to credit card debt....LOL.

No more.
