Filename changes...4-5 letter dll file, with associated ini that is the reverse spelling of the dll.

I swear it keeps showing up only after visiting AT threads with spyware software ads...

Also shows up in Tools/Manage Add-Ons as MSEvents Object in IE

I know, I have AVG, MS antispyware, adaware. None of them pick it up as anything. I had it last week and cleaned it out, and now I just got it again (different filename) after having a thread open for a while with a spyware ad at the bottom...

Have already done housecall, but I'll check out the others. I'm asking here because it really seems to be coming from AT. The only other sites I visit with IE are craigslist, fatwallet, bensbargains, and myspace once in a while ;) - no pr0n, warez, or any other questionable sites.

Yeah yeah...I'm not a noob :p, and I don't have a problem getting rid of the files, it'd just be nice to know where they're coming from and what they are, since nothing seems to be picking them up as anything.

I run MYIE2, not that Maxthon junk, and I have ZERO problems with such things. I've never gotten anything off AT/OT that I know of, and I'd probably know if I did.

Drop IE, go with FireFox or MYIE2 or something.

you contracted winfixer, you should also try spybot (yes old, but still usefull.) unless you know how to manually hack it out of your registry and remove the files in safe mode (I do this on a nearly daily basis at work as a tech) try some other known good anti-spyware programes.

Yes I do, but like I said it'd be nice to know where it came from...
