had a dream last night i was back in high school. made me wonder who else out there attended an international school. although i'm thinking primarily of schools like international school manila, singapore american school, taipei american school, hong kong international school, jakarta international school, and international school kuala lumpur, i guess anyone attending a school outside of their home country that accepted students of every nationality would qualify.

so did you attend one, and if so, where?

sure, why not. ;)

i've run into another ISM alum on the for sale/trade forums before. the cool thing was that he was still living in Manila and participating on the forums! really cool guy too... offered to hook me up with stuff over there that's kinda hard to find here.

I went to the American International School of Abuja <its in Nigeria>. It was a great experience. It was small (I was there for the first year that it opened...40 students in the whole school). Two years later there were 200 students...it was still a great school!

New English School -- Amman, Jordan

I finished my IGCSE (GCSE's -- 11th grade), but didn't want to stick with the British System, so I "ended" early and went straight to a JC here in the USA.

I went to Nishimachi Interntational School in Tokyo, Japan! My brother went to ASIJ American School In Japan. I almost went there but moved to the US before then.

I went to the American School of Madrid in Spain for a couple of years. It was fun. Most of the students were Americans whose parents worked at the American Air Force Base there. There were some ex-pats working in the private sector though. Was there for 3rd and 4th grade. We were there when the US bombed Libya. You should have seen the security at the Base. It was pretty crazy.

late.

I went to ACS (American Community Schools) in Athens, Greece for 5 years: 3 years elementary school, 2 years high school. I loved it...meeting students of other nationalities was a unique experience and it certainly taught me a lot about other cultures.

I attended the International High School of San Francisco. International education is the BEST.
