Anyone else at work?

It kinda sucks not being home for Christmas, however double time is nice 🙂 Anyone else in my boat? 12 hour shift today, but get tomorrow off so my family is celebrating then.

P.S. Merry Christmas!

I had to do a fairly important code update at 10 AM or so from home, worked until 6 PM last night and until 10 PM on the 23rd. I think I'm going to silence my BlackBerry now.

That doesnt sound like fun. My fun is waiting for me at home in the form of a heineken mini keg my brother in law and I named Kegbert.

🙁 for you

i did work on thanksgiving though. i wouldn't be too upset if something broke and they called me in - better than being unemployed.

I work for the government so every time I post from work, I'm wasting your precious tax dollars. How does that make you feel?

I'm on call in case something breaks. I may log on and do a little after-hours maintenance if I get too bored today though.

I'm not working and my boss even aranged for me to get home early yesterday (I normally work 12:30-9:00 so he switched me to 8:30-5:00). Though there is an outsourced help desk that is working to take our place. TBH I say just shut the whole thing. Today there are more important things then not being able to print, or Ms Word freezing. They can wait and call it in Monday. :/ But oh well, at least I'm not there. I *could* get called out though but the odds are slim, very slim.

Just got back from work 9-9. Back again tomorrow 9 - 9, and again on Saturday, and again on NYE.

Doing today sucked (as I was already rostered to do tomorrow and Saturday), but it was an emergency thing, because my colleague who was supposed to be doing it is off sick.

I work for the government as well, and almost done my 9-9 shift!! I can't wait for some turkey, ham and stuffing!
