Anyone else at work today?

This sucks arse. Just about every freakin' non-retail company is closed today, but does the gov't shut down for the day? No. So I'm stuck here browsing the damn internet all day. I'm protesting by not doing any actual work!

Oh yeah, came in last night...about to go home, but I'll be back again tonight. doesn't bother me though, I need the holiday pay. I even tried to talk people into taking time off so I could get more, but no luck.

I work for a small IT consultant, I just showed up at my Friday client, and apparently I didn't get the memo about them being closed today. I'm feeling a little dumb.

I'm getting a ton of work done. I'll probably leave around 1 or 2PM. Then I plan to do some more work at home.

Definitely, no shopping for me today. I prefer not to see the worst in people. Black friday makes people nuts.

Since I support Stock Traders, I gotta be in when they are...Since the Stock Market is open today, I have to come into work.

Since 90% of the time I'm playin games anyway, it's ain't too bad.

Now I gotta figure out what I shall widdle away my time today playing. Stronghold? Ghost Recon? Return To Castle Wolfenstien?

But it's dead slow here so I'm not worried. I plan to spend the day looking for & buying plane tickets.

Plus I only have to work 7 hours today since they forced us to take 1/2 hour lunches twice earlier in the week. So I came in 30 mins late & will leave 30 mins early.

Works out well for me.
