no its just that everyone who uses xbconnect or the FREE services to play online bash xbox live, as if its something horrible, when typicall they haven't even used it. and in the end its just the pirates, cheaters, and cheap a$$es who play on the tunneling software, which are types of people i don't mind playing without.
 
Nope doesnt land me in any..

I cant be on XBL because I have a 120gb drive in my xbox. MS forced me not to pay for their service.

well if you haven't signed up for xbox live yet, you will be fine if you do so now. but yea if you have, then they did screw you, although technically you (as well as I) am breaking the TOS agreement that you must agree to when signing up to xbox live.
 
I love the laser sword, thats basically all I use on maps where its availible. Great game, but very different from the first one.
 
Well, for me it was

Tuesday:
09:00am WoW download finished!! Play all day
12:00pm Blockbuster has Halo2! Get those!!
12:30pm Friends show up and co-op
08:00pm Friends leave and WoW starts again
05:00am Oh damn, its 5. time for sleep.

That continued for 2 days, until we beat it, then its been WoW constantly since for me.

Just to dispell this line of thought. I and all my friends, including a couple without mods, have been using Kai to play our store bought copies of Halo 2 against one another. None of us have Live. For me it's because I am really not interested in playing most of the XBL games online. I'm about to dive into World of Warcraft for my online gaming needs and simply won't have time for XBL after that point (since I will be paying for WoW that kind of wipes out any notion I'm a cheap ass). I'm not really a big fan of Halo multiplayer anyway. I'm more of a single player and co-op fan. Multiplayer is fun when friends are over and we have tried out Kai a few times, but the last FPS game I was really into was the original UT. If I was going to play another FPS online seriously I would go with a some sort of PC game. OTOH, if I was into racers, fighters, etc... I would be all over Live. But I don't have enough interest in playing those online to bother.

Haha! That sounds EXACTLY like me. My best friends comes by and we play Halo 2 co-op. As soon as he leaves I'm back on WoW.
 
I wish they'd make another Rune game with the new Epic Unreal3 engine but I guess Human Head Studios is working on something now with the Doom3 engine, so that's not likely. I wonder what they'll put out with the Doom3 engine. Oh, and no, I'm not addicted to Halo2; I don't even have an Xbox. 😛
 
I beat Halo 3 times on Legendary. Last night we finished Halo 2 and I have little or no desire to play it again. I don't know what it is missing, but it's not as addicting as the original.

i heard its REALLY tough, especially co-op because if one of you dies, you both have to respawn from the last checkpoint.

i might have been playing with you a few times. i was in some battle with someone named FRAGMASTER101 or something like that, and i coulda SWORN it was someone from these forums, and i joined the GPx clan for a little bit, but i got out because my friend wants me in his clan.
 
Can I just say there's one major problem with Halo 2: WTF IS WITH THE SIDE-BY-SIDE SPLIT SCREEN?! It's hard to see to the sides and such. VERY annoying. They should have either left that alone, or given the option to go back to the other mode.

im Sibuna on XBL you could have been playin with me, i do play with the fragmaster every now and then, im not in the GPx clan, im in a different oen adn am about to jump ship as soon as thedingus gets me the invite

Yeah, but on Legendary - if it's as hard as it should be - you pretty much have to have both of you there at all times anyway. And there are enough checkpoints so that you don't fall too far behind.

AFAIK, it only does that on widescreen tv's. i haven't seen it yet, but i do know that if the tv is 16:9 and split into 8:9 that would be a wierd aspect ratio. on my 4:3 though it does it top/bottom split.
