I am moving next week and was thinking of trying to get a nice big SUV for the day to assist.

Only mileage restriction seems to be you can't take it 100 miles from dealership.

Anyone tried the 24 hour test drive?

How was the dealership to deal with? give you a hard time?

well I am getting movers for big stuff.....but the more small stuff I do myself, the less time they will take....therefore less cost

The reason GM does the 24 hour test drive to create a psychological attachment to the vehicle. - just don't become attached and purchase the vehicel :p

Yep, and I read that 25% of test drivers buy the vehicle

Seems kinda unethical to me.

Do they do it with the big trucks? Can I take a GMC Sierra 3500 off the lot, offroad it to death and bring it back covered in mud (But with no actual damage?)

Edit: OMG or an H1

You know they'll be harassing you to death on it, almost worth spending $60+ to rent something for the day.

Aww come on, they aren't that bad.

No, they aren't that bad, especially compared to the crap they made from the early 90's. I guess that regret applies to anything that I get all hyped up about buying, then on the drive home realize that I'm going to be paying for it for the next few years :) I even got the feeling when I was driving Hondas :)

I load stuff into the back of my SUV all the time. You WILL get it scratched if you're moving a house's worth of stuff. You better get the UHaul.
