Anyone do walking meetings at work?

Rather than sitting in a stuffy conference room, if there's no presentation materials and only one or two participants, I sometimes suggest holding the meeting outside while walking. My building is near a river overlooking a gorge, so it's a pleasant area for a stroll.

Anyone else do this?

That is a good idea. Every day after lunch, I'd take walk with my boss and a few of the people in our office, but it was really just the daily bitch session.

Good idea, anything has to be better than sitting in a conference room listening to people drone on about crap I don't care about.

Reminds me of the SNL skit: "LOTHAR of the Hill People"

"I haven't 'walked' with a woman in some time. Lately, I've been taking a lot of short 'walks'....by myself."

Um no. How big are your meetings? I can't imagine doing this with anything more than 5 people. And there would be too much distraction.

no, but that's a good idea. if someone recommends something really awful during the meeting they can just "accidentally" fall into the gorge and never be heard from again.

No, I'm usually the one doing the brown nosing.

Obviously, walking meetings will only work for 1 or 2 people.

I usually do it when I'm meeting with a vendor or a colleague from another location.

Nah, I like the fresh air. Nice try though!

Plus, there's a bar halfway through the walk.
