Anyone do European factory delivery when they bought their car?

Awesome, sounds like it was a blast. I'm acutally going to be based in SF, and I'm from around there so how was the pickup handled. And what dealership and who was ur CA?

Did you do one of the packages they offer? The driving tours i mean.

I bought my car from Weatherford BMW in Berkeley. BMW of San Fran lost my business because of snooty car salespeople. I remember building the specs of the car and the price of the Euro delivery was thousands cheaper than dealer price, it was a no brainer. I believe you can haggle the euro delivery price as well.

When you buy thru Euro delivery, the price includes shipping to the US. Your car will be built to US specs and will be delivered to your dealer in Cali. The procedure is you can drop the car off at any designated BMW shipper in Europe anytime you wish (after driving around cross country and having a blast) and they will handle all paperwork and shipping to your dealer in the US. The designated dropoff points in Europe will be indicated in a euro delivery packet or brochure given by the dealer prior to your trip.

I did not get any of the packages they offered and rather, i made my own plans. I knew we were flying in to Frankfurt (munich) and i also knew i wanted to fly out of Paris. So basically, i drove from munich and passed the towns/countries i wanted to pass before dropping it off in Paris. Get the Navigation system, it will save you the hassle of getting lost (it saved my ass MANY times.)

Go to the BMW website and request for a brochure. Also, hang out at roadfly.org and post/read/search the forums about euro delivery. I suggest you read up and soak in as much info as you can and plan out your trip, i.e. which countries/cities you will be visiting etc. I haven't heard anyone who did not enjoy it.
