Anyone considering a write-in for the election?

With most of the candidates being so horrible, I could easily see the primaries turning out a pair of candidates which leaves no other acceptable choice.

For me the conditions under which I would vote for a write-in (Ron Paul) would be:

a) Hillary as the Democrat nominee
b) Anyone other than Ron Paul or Steven Colbert as the Republican nominee

Which pairs of candidates would others here use a write in vote for?

Why not work to get the candidate you want through the primaries?

Often, that's not a possibility. As of now, Hillary and Guiliani are looking more and more likely to win. If that is the case, I will most likely vote 3rd party for all the possible candidates that I can, and will continue to do so until I feel the system has corrected itself. Some people say I'm throwing my vote away, but I say voting for the alternatives is worse. Even if third party candidates can't win, they can reasonably get 5% of the vote to establish federal funding.

No, I'm not. Hillary is not my choice in the primary, but she is so far better than Giuliani or any other running repub that I'll vote for her if she is nominated.

Don;t count on that, remember Howard Dean. He pretty much had every poll and newspaper saying he was it. Then Kerry came out as he was working behind the scenes with the pollsters and they pushed him out on voting day to Dems. Dean had the independent and people that don;t vote in primaries.

Romeny and Mcain still have a good chance for the Rep, esp with womeny spending his own money. I just can;t see obama getting much more support other then a heavy black vote which will give him decent numbers but Hillary polls better with blacks then he does. Edwards I can see pull in more then people think. He has a lot of union support and also inside support, so i could see him making a run when it comes time to vote.

The election started to early this time, i think you might see some people run out of steam or make a large mistake and things could really change.

Oh and I'm writing in Al Gore. :) ;)

Sorry, couldn't come up with the $5,000 to file with FEC.

Only the rich can hold political office in the U.S. now.
